The Secure Home Electrics Approach

In accordance with industry standards, Secure Home Electrics Ltd has implemented a process to ensure that it provides you with an entirely bespoke quality product tailored to your needs.

• No Obligation Location Survey – We will conduct a survey during a home visit to discuss your requirements and assess your current security arrangements. The survey will cover physical and technological solutions to improve your security.

• Technical Survey – We will also assess the suitability of your premises for our equipment and consider any issues which will may influence the choice and design of the solutions we may recommend. Our recommendations will include products such as security lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV and video entry systems. We can also recommend tradesmen to carry out structural and garden design features to improve your security.

• Risk Assessment – According to current EU and British Standards it is incumbent upon the designer and installer to evaluate the risks associated with the premises and then determine a grade of system. It is then possible to determine scope of the system e.g. signalling and tamper proof requirements. The products supplied by Secure Home Electrics Ltd can be adapted to increase the level of security.

• System Design Proposal – On completion of the Survey/Risk Assessment we will provide you with a full and detailed ‘System Design Proposal’ outlining our recommendations and listing the equipment we intend to install and where it will be installed etc.

• Installation and Commissioning – Depending upon your system most installations can be conducted in a day and parts of the installation can be carried out remotely if required. Upon completion and testing a commissioning document will be prepared. Your engineer will provide instructions on how to operate the system. An individual named by you will be given administrator rights to manage functions such as adding or changing access codes and accessing the logs. You will not be asked to sign the commissioning document until you are completely satisfied.

• Preventative Maintenance Plans – Our involvement does not end after we have installed your system. Preventative maintenance plans are mandatory for Grade 3 systems and above and for those systems which are connected to a remote monitoring centre. These inexpensive plans allow us to monitor the functions of your system such as its ability to contact the internet in the case of App enabled alarms (our maintenance packages include App access charges which are otherwise payable directly by the customer to our equipment manufacturers – currently £36 per annum).
